I saw a blog on how to make cloth towels (vs. paper towels), but sewing was required (I preferred not to fight with my sewing machine). So I searched for some more cloth towels and found “My Merry Messy Life” blog that shows how to make NO SEW cloth towels. I just finished mine tonight and love them! You just cut (with pinking shears so you don’t have to sew edges) 6″ x 8″ size pieces (I wanted mine a little bigger, so I made 8″ x 10″ pieces) out of cotton flannel. You just roll them up on top of the previously rolled pieces and put them in a container and pull them from the center (like containers of rolled wipes). Sara from “My Merry Messy Life” blog made a cute container out of an oatmeal can covered in yarn. I had this clear cylindrical glass vase and put my roll of towels in it. Fits perfect and looks pretty! You can visit Sara’s blog for instructions at http://mymerrymessylife.com/2012/09/how-we-ditched-the-paper-towels-and-went-to-cloth-2.html
On February 23, 2014 we put a deposit down for 2 doelings! We would like to introduce you to Greytful Acres first 2 goats! Our 1st doeling is a Nigerian Dwarf named Scarlett (1st 2 photos–2nd photo is of her “riding bare-back” on her mom!) and the other doeling is a Mini-LaMancha named Esmeralda. They will be ready to come home to Greytful Acres mid-May! Aren’t they adorable!

I am interested in growing a number of different herbs, but my ABSOLUTELY FAVORITE herb that I’m looking forward to plant is lavender. I dream of having a large field covered with lavender (I can actually picture, when I look out our window, the field in front of our house looking like this)…
but in reality, I think I’ll just start with a few plants.
I had come across this recipe for Homemade Non-Dairy Peppermint Coffee Creamer, from the Delighted Momma blog months ago and am finally getting around to making it. It’s a simple recipe using organic coconut milk, pure stevia natural extract and pure peppermint extract. I just poured a cup of coffee and it’s so yummy! I’m sure you could substitute other pure extracts if you prefer other flavors. Here’s the link to the recipe: http://www.delightedmomma.com/2012/11/homemade-non-dairy-peppermint-creamer.html
