I saw a blog on how to make cloth towels (vs. paper towels), but sewing was required (I preferred not to fight with my sewing machine). So I searched for some more cloth towels and found “My Merry Messy Life” blog that shows how to make NO SEW cloth towels. I just finished mine tonight and love them! You just cut (with pinking shears so you don’t have to sew edges) 6″ x 8″ size pieces (I wanted mine a little bigger, so I made 8″ x 10″ pieces) out of cotton flannel. You just roll them up on top of the previously rolled pieces and put them in a container and pull them from the center (like containers of rolled wipes). Sara from “My Merry Messy Life” blog made a cute container out of an oatmeal can covered in yarn. I had this clear cylindrical glass vase and put my roll of towels in it. Fits perfect and looks pretty! You can visit Sara’s blog for instructions at http://mymerrymessylife.com/2012/09/how-we-ditched-the-paper-towels-and-went-to-cloth-2.html
